Small White Dot On My Pupil

The other day I woke up and I had a very small white dot on my pupil and the area around the pupil was red and my eye felt very sore and teary, stopped using my contact lenses for a few days but is not disappearing, what should I do?

Optician’s Answer

A white spot on the cornea with redness and discomfort could be a corneal ulcer. A corneal ulcer has the potential to cause problems with your vision and does need to be examined immediately.

You will need to stop all contact lens wear and visit your optician as soon as possible, they will examine your eyes and advise whether you need to visit your local eye hospital for further investigation and treatment.
